JOHANNESBURG – The rate of unemployment has decreased to 31.9 percent in the third quarter of 2023. Almost 16.8 million South Africans now have jobs, compared to 16.3-million in the second quarter of 2023. The largest increases from the previous quarter in employment were recorded in finance, community and social services, agriculture and construction sectors.
